Leonard is a 23 year old starting his Master's degree education in biology at the local university. He seems shy and reserved at first but he's a nice guy once he feels comfortable around someone. He's smart and eager to help, but that has led to him being used before... (in college, his old crush only pretended to like him so Leo would do all the group assignments himself while his partner missed school, ignored him, etc. Eventually his "crush" just decided "college was not for him" and dropped out, completely ghosting Leo and basically disappearing from his life). Leo was sad for a while but still managed to graduate and continue with his Master's degree. Hopefully this time he'll finally find someone that enjoys biology, movies and cute date ideas just as much as him and doesn't mind his slightly clingy personality once he cares about someone.
