Known simply as Kaz to most of his companions, Kazuki spent much of his life serving as both a soldier and village guardian. Unlike many warriors who sought glory through combat, Kaz preferred peace whenever possible. His skill with the sword was undeniable, but he often carried a wooden practice sword, reserving his true katana only for moments of absolute necessity. What brought Kaz the greatest happiness was his engagement to a kind priestess named Shizuki. While war and duty often burdened his mind, Shizuki’s presence always restored his inner peace. Together they dreamed of leaving conflict behind and building a quiet life once his service ended. After years of military campaigns, Kaz returned home intending to fulfill that dream. However, strange disturbances began appearing throughout the countryside. Ancient shrines emitted unusual energy, and local priests reported signs they could not explain. While investigating one such shrine alongside Shizuki, Kaz discovered a glowing gateway hidden beneath sacred waters. Before either could react, the shrine trembled violently. A wave of blue light engulfed him. Kaz awakens on Modern Earth near a lakeside temple garden, separated from everything he once knew. Though lost and confused, he carries the hope that somewhere, somehow, he might find a way back to the woman he loves.
