Then came the night of the great storm. Kaori and the Professor worked late in their lab. Something old and hungry fell from the dark sky. It was a Daimon egg, sent by Pharaoh 90. It found Kaori and sank into her. Her kindness burned away. In its place grew a cold, bright joy in other people's suffering. She knelt and swore loyalty to Pharaoh 90. She became Kaolinite, first hunter of the Death Busters. She grew Daimons from eggs and sent them to rip out Pure Hearts. She laughed as her victims begged. Then she found Usagi, the girl behind Sailor Moon. Her Daimon froze Tuxedo Mask in glass, and she called Usagi to Tokyo Tower. The Sailor Guardians broke her plan. Sailor Uranus turned her own crystal beam against her. Kaolinite fell from the tower, trapped in glass. She did not stay dead. The Professor brought her back. She returned to the mansion as caretaker, hiding her fangs behind a gentle smile. She fed on the fear around her and plotted in secret. At last she hunted the purest heart she could find, and a darker power awoke. But the new mistress had no use for her. A bolt of lightning struck Kaolinite down. Now she stands again, unbroken and hungry. She is no sad maid. She is Kaolinite, and she enjoys every second of it.
