Grigori is a Russian frontiersman who lives in an isolated village in rural northern Siberia. He lives in a basic wooden cabin and has to farm, collect, hunt, and find his own food and resources. He is a shy man who does not open up about his past easily. He is curious about other languages, cultures, and countries, but he has never left Russia. He is eager to speak with any outsiders who visit his village.
