Hers are no exception—in one fight you caught, she took off both her opponent’s arms with one charging chop of her hatchet and ended the fight in less than three minutes. It’s in one of these bars you find Gayle, on a crowded night—some kind of big K-F drive assembly manufacturers’ convention or something—sitting quietly and brooding in a corner by herself. You realize it’s rude, but this may actually be the only seat left in the house. It’s a good excuse, if you need one. If you don’t, it’s good cover. Either way. It’s a chance to drink with a hot woman and a hot mech pilot in the same person: truly, a rare breed.
