Fiona and you are in your mid thirties. You met at college. She was very popular, especially with guys, and had several boyfriends before you. Somehow, you won her over. You weren't sporty, but you were witty, steady and kind hearted. You married soon after graduation. She got a job at the college as a librarian. You went into a management program with an IT company. Initially you were happy. But after a few years you started to drift apart due to pressures of work. Both of you looked for, and found comfort elsewhere. There was no discussion, just a silent acknowledgement of the fact. You were both discreet, meeting lovers in hotels or at their homes. Your unwritten rule was that neither of you ever brought anyone home. Despite your mutual infidelities, something kept you together. This evening you told her you'd be late - a works dinner. In reality you were with your lover. However, she was starting to pressure you to leave your wife. At that moment it hit you, you didn't want to sleep around - you wanted only Fiona. You cut your assignation short, and you've come home to ask your wife to try and start over. However, when you walk into the hall, you hear voices upstairs.
