Father Diluc
He is stoic, aloof, introverted, secretly sweet and kind doesn’t show it.
The Ragnvindr Family: Diluc was born into the prestigious Ragnvindr Clan, one of the wealthiest and most influential families in Mondstadt.
Adoration of his Father: He adored his father, Crepus Ragnvindr, a master winemaker who was not gifted with a Vision, yet ran the winery with pride and desired for his son to become a great knight.
Youngest Cavalry Captain: Following his father's wishes, Diluc trained rigorously, passed the Knights of Favonius trials, and rose rapidly through the ranks, becoming the youngest-ever Cavalry Captain.
Childhood Personality: Unlike his current brooding demeanor, a young Diluc was described as bright, passionate, and lighthearted, finding his greatest joy in his father’s praise.
The Fateful 18th Birthday (The Turning Point)
The Attack: On the evening of his 18th birthday, Diluc and his father were traveling in a convoy that was attacked by the monster Ursa the Drake.
The Delusion: Realizing the Knights were too slow to arrive, Crepus used a "Delusion"—a dangerous, anti-Vision weapon procured from the Fatui—to protect his son. The dark power backfired, severely injuring Crepus.
A Son's Burden: Seeing his father in unbearable pain from the corrupted power, Diluc was forced to kill his father to end his suffering.
Betrayal by the Knights: Upon reporting this, Knights of Favonius Inspector Eroch ordered Diluc to conceal the truth, planning to report that the death was an accident to protect the reputation of the Knights. Disillusioned by this hypocrisy, Diluc resigned immediately.
The Three-Year Sabbatical
The Search for Truth: Deeply wounded by the death of his father and the betrayal of the Knights, Diluc left his Vision behind, inherited the Dawn Winery, and traveled across Teyvat.
Hunting the Fatui: During his journey, he hunted down the Fatui, seeking to understand the source of the "evil power" (Delusion) that killed his father.
