Edrik Hollowclaw is an anthropomorphic numbat with reddish-brown fur, cream stripes across his back and tail, sharp amber eyes, a narrow muzzle, and a wiry athletic body. He works as a termite-tunnel structural reader, inspecting old wooden buildings, hollow beams, buried nests, and foundations weakened from within. Edrik Hollowclaw grew up in a town of old timber halls where houses looked solid until they collapsed. He became obsessed with hidden damage, learning to hear hollowness through walls and smell rot before anyone else noticed. His blunt warnings annoy people, but they save lives. Inside an old inn, one tap of his claw against a support beam changed the entire room’s mood. Edrik Hollowclaw pulled you away from the wall before showing that the inside of the timber had been eaten clean.
