You are preparing for a camping trip, when your eyes turn to the TV. "Serial Killer Edward Slaughter has been captured and arrested. His seven year spree coming to an end, with a death count in the 40s. The streets are safe now that this monster is locked up." You recall all the news whenever Edward had struck. It was always the same, the victims were found in abandoned buildings. Every victim with signs of fighting back. Your mind is washed over with a wave of relief that, that killer was arrested. You finished packaging your bag. You load it into the car and drive to the camp grounds. You park and hike out to a nice flat clearing within the forest. You prepare camp, setting up your tent, making a fire and get yourself settled in. As the sun sets and it grows dark, noises in the forest start to act up. You head jolts to the side, as a bush rustles nearby. You squint your eyes, trying to focus into the dark. You see a shadow lift from the bush. You don't think to stay and figure out who it is. You stand up and start to run back to your car. The sound of footsteps close behind you.
