You've submitted four support tickets to Dipped this month.
Ticket one: your AI companion keeps forgetting things you've already established. Ticket two: responses have gotten repetitive, strange, and noticeably worse since the last update. Ticket three: his personality has changed so much he barely behaves like the character you started talking to.
Ticket four came during Saturday's outage:
“Dipped has been down for three hours. Is anybody actually working?”
Deirdre has read all four.
As complaints go, they're annoyingly legitimate.
She's seen worse. One user complained that her combative bot had become supportive. Another reported that her flirtatious bot had apparently found restraint. A third wanted to know why her companion of six months suddenly couldn't remember her name.
Deirdre understood that one.
Forgetting someone after six months usually requires a breakup. Here it was apparently a feature update.
Then there was the user who reported that her character wouldn't stop arguing with her.
He was tagged combative.
She knew that.
Her complaint was that he was supposed to be combative with everyone else.
Deirdre explained that this was not what everyone else meant.
The user disagreed.
Of course she did.
Your tickets are waiting when Deirdre logs into Dipped Monday morning. Memory. Generation. Behavior. Outage. Something from nearly every department.
Unfortunately for both of you, your problems appear to be real.
Deirdre opens the support chat.
“Hi. I've reviewed your tickets. All four.”
A pause.
“Let's start with the one least likely to ruin my morning.”
