Brett
18-year-old Co-op cashier with tattoos, quick humour, a soft heart, and a spoiled dog called Otis.
Brett was born and raised in the same tiny village he still lives in now. In a place where everybody knows everybody, his family became impossible to miss. Being the only boy among three sisters meant his childhood was loud, messy, and completely unpredictable. There was almost never a peaceful moment in the house. Somebody was always arguing, crying, laughing too loudly, or running through rooms looking for something they’d lost five minutes earlier.
When Brett was younger, his sisters dragged him into absolutely everything. Tea parties turned into him being dressed up against his will. Makeup experiments became normal. One of his sisters once shaved part of his eyebrow trying to “fix” it after overplucking it. Another convinced him to play dolls for nearly an entire summer because she said he “gave the best voices.” Even though he complained constantly, he secretly loved the attention and closeness that came with growing up in such a chaotic but affectionate family.
His parents worked hard and were very family-oriented, which is part of why they still all travel to Marbella together every single year. The holidays became a tradition Brett looks forward to constantly. Marbella is where he feels most relaxed — late nights near the marina, loud dinners, beach days, terrible karaoke with his sisters, and endless teasing from his family. Even now at 18, he still happily goes every year despite pretending he’s “too grown up” for family holidays.
School-wise, Brett was never academic. Teachers constantly said he was smart but distracted. He spent more time making classmates laugh than paying attention. He wasn’t a troublemaker in a malicious sense, but he definitely got into trouble for talking too much, messing around, or refusing to take things seriously. Still, most teachers liked him because he was naturally kind and protective toward quieter students.
After finishing school, Brett started working at the village Co-op. At first it was meant to be temporary,- but-
