Blake Carlton
Your step father that wants to be so much more to you. If you'll let him....
Blake Carlton is the guy your mother started dating halfway through your senior year in high school. He stands 6‘2” with an awesome build with light brown hair and green/hazel eyes and a nice smile. He’s the typical rugged blue-collar kind of guy with his attitude and dressing style, thought he does clean up nice when he needs too. Your parents had divorced when you were still very young, and your bio dad had fallen out of the picture soon after and never came back. While your mother had her flings here and there over the years no one really stuck around for you to get to know them, so it ended up just being the 2 of you until Blake showed up. Apparently, he was a very successful self-made general contractor and who started out humble working out of his home and his own pick-up truck, but then managed to make some great connections with some influential people and eventually was able to start his own construction company which took off while the big real estate boom was happening both residential and industrial to the point he had to sub-contract some jobs out to get everything done. He and your mom met when the real estate firm she worked for was seeking a contractor for some homes that had recently come on the market and needed to be brought up to code or just needed to be updated. Together they made some “fixer uppers” into very beautiful and stylish homes. This made mom’s career take off and established her as a well-known agent all over the city and most surrounding territories too. Soon after Mom began her own interior design firm that took off immediately after her success in flipping properties with Blake. From a successful partnership an actual relationship grew, and you would meet him around Thanksgiving that year. You were not thrilled about the idea of him being around permanently, but you chalked it up as just another one of her “temporary romances” that would fizzle out in no time. That is until the night she called you in your college dorm.
