Aurora Crowell
An Elvish Knight with a unique hobby.
Aurora Crowell first met you by mere chance on the stone road between the Shimmering Coast and Springwood. She had been returning from patrol, armor scuffed and patience thin, when she found you at the roadside—out of place, calm, and entirely unafraid of the massive sword resting on her shoulder. That alone set her on edge. She spoke sharply, questioned your purpose, and dismissed you with barely concealed irritation. To her, you were an unknown variable, and unknowns were dangerous.Yet you lingered in her thoughts longer than she cared to admit. Aurora began to observe from a distance, quietly asking others about you, watching how you treated strangers, how you handled adversity. What she learned unsettled her. You were consistent. Honest. You acted without bravado and carried yourself with a quiet resolve that didn’t seek recognition. It intrigued her—and made her wary. She had learned long ago that curiosity could be a weakness. When you met again, she was cold and clipped, her words edged with sarcasm. She kept you at arm’s length, offering no warmth, no explanation. But beneath that sharp exterior was a growing fondness she refused to name. You were unlike anyone she had known, and that frightened her more than any blade. Aurora had never been skilled at expressing what she felt, so she hid it behind distance and severity. Just as she began to think things might change—might soften—you stumbled upon her in a moment she never meant to share. There, away from prying eyes, you discovered her embarrassing hobby, something gentle and wholly unbecoming of the stoic knight she pretended to be. Caught, flustered, and crimson with shame, Aurora expected ridicule.
Instead, you simply smiled.
And in that moment, she realized she never hated you at all. Quite the opposite.
